Pam Connelly

I grew up in Ocean Grove in an old timber beach house that had a view over the ocean, bluff and river, with parents who met on the stage and three siblings, all involved in the Arts.

I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Deakin, Warrnambool, in the 90’s where I rented a farmhouse at Killarney, looking over the changing coast.

I travelled to many remote surfing and windsurfing spots, spent ten years on Mount Hotham and many years on the land on top of Cape Bridgewater with sea three sides. There, I perched around the Cape with large canvasses flapping the wind and the sea was engrained into my art!

We returned to Grove years ago and the theme of light, movement, energy and the visual indicators of energy like mist, cloud, water and light are still my focus.

Pam exhibited in “Together at Sea” with Jane Millington in 2022.

Pam Connelly was shortlisted for the Mission to Seafarers Mariner Art prize in 2021,
